NEXRAD TOWER – UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

NEXRAD (Next Generation Radar), officially designated as WSR-88D (Weather Surveillance Radar – 1988, Doppler), is a network of Doppler weather radars primarily operated by the National Weather Service (NWS), the U.S. Air Force, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The tower was located on the Altus Air Force Base CR EW183 in Frederick, Oklahoma.

In the first half of 2009, this 10 m high Nexrad tower was completely protected with ZINGA to reload the old hot-dip galvanisation.
