REN (Rede Electrica Nacional), formerly named Electricidade de Portugal (EDP), has been using ZINGA since 1989 for applications on different types of structures : fences, roofs, beams, pylons, …
On the REN power supply line from Sacavem to Porto Alto, 13 pylons were protected with ZINGA in August-September 1989. These pictures were taken at the time of the application.
This is a project description of the application of ZINGA on a power pylon of REN on the power supply line from Caniçada to Riba d’Ave in August 1989.
On 27-05-1992 an inspection was done to measure the layer thickness of the ZINGA. After 3 years time, there was almost no decrease in layer thickness.
In the REN thermo-electrical power station in Setubal, ZINGA was applied on a big fence around the whole power station (approx. 1800 m long and 2 to 2.5 m high) in 1990.
Roof coverings and big steel beams were also protected with ZINGA.
Inspection 3 years after the application.
The ZINGA was still in perfect condition.
